LilyPad Arduino stuff arrived
For the upcoming workshop(s), I wanted some Arduino variants to show around. The first batch to arrive today was a complete* set of LilyPad Arduino stuff (*missing the optional Lithium battery pack adaptor):
The board and LEDs, buzzer and vibration module are all working, still have to check the sensors. Missing from the picture is the spool of conductive thread to sew the boards onto fabrics. It was 20 € (ouch) but I guess 600m of thread lasts a long time.

It seems the Arduino fever is really speading
Just curious: What (non-nasty things) do you do with a vibration device in your clothes? Neat stuff though, looking forward to reading about your first robot suit!
I’m thinking about buying a set myself… Would you tell me, where you bought and how much you paid (with postage and taxes and stuff)? Thanks!
The whole set was exactly 131.99 € (not cool) from Watterott in Germany. Ordering at SparkFun in the US would be even more due to taxes, I suppose.
It’s nice to play with but for a real purpose I’d only get the parts that I need. The LEDs are cheap (1.59) but the accelerometer is not (22.85).
If you only need the main LilyPad board, I can get these cheaper from the Arduino guys in Italy.
@Tob I think I saw a project that used four vibration modules in a belt to as a compass device. In clothing, I think the only good use is for silent notification, just like in mobile phones.
@philip: Thanks!
